Performance
The Gladiator features a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine for every trim level, pairing it with an eight-speed automatic transmission. It achieves 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque rating that can tow up to 7,000 pounds when properly equipped. The maximum payload for the bed is 1,250 pounds, perfect for hauling plenty of cargo or even a singular ATV.
Drivers can utilize the Command-Trac four-wheel-drive system to switch between two-wheel drive for regular roads or four-wheel drive for off-road conditions. Trim-level options include an electronic locking differential and an optimized suspension system for even better off-road control. The Gladiator has a combined gas mileage of 19 miles per gallon.
Interior and Exterior Features
Practicality and durability are the Gladiator's interior and exterior design focus. The interior is easy to clean, with a tough rubber dashboard and trimmed pieces. The base model comes with fabric upholstery, but trim upgrades can include leather and other premium materials. Up to five passengers can fit in the cab, and clever storage options include lockable bins under the rear seats.

Technology
The Gladiator boasts technology features that can keep pace with most other vehicles in its class while offering some unique features tailored to its use as an off-road vehicle. The heart of the technology system is the Jeep Uconnect® Infotainment, offering a base model 8.0-inch touchscreen or an available 10-inch upgrade. Drivers can link to Uconnect® using either Apple CarPlay® or Android Auto™. Once connected, navigation, voice command features, and access to favorite playlists are all available for use while driving around Huntsville.
Drivers can also upgrade to an Alpine nine-speaker audio system that will showcase their favorite audio entertainment. Off-road features like the Uconnect® Off-Road give drivers advanced information about the vehicle's pitch and roll angles, among other statistics. Front and rear cameras also help to reveal obstacles that are difficult to see on the trail ahead or to more precisely guide the driver toward a trailer hitch when in reverse.
Safety
The new Gladiator keeps drivers and passengers safe with plenty of practical protective features while harnessing the latest driver assistance technology. With a high-quality steel frame, plenty of front and side airbags, and anti-lock brakes, the Jeep Gladiator can weather the effects of most impacts while cocooning passengers from direct harm. Driver assistance features like rear cross-traffic detection, blind spot monitoring, and adaptive cruise control help to mitigate common causes of fender-benders.
